Gary Smith, fishing here at Genets from 22nd to 29th Oct, decided to put his own interpretation to our menu which made us smile. His comments are shown in bold print below.
Breakfast
Option1: Served in the Lodge
Cereals, Orange juice. Sausage, Bacon, Eggs, Fresh Mushrooms, Baked Beans, Potato Rosti. Toast, Coffee & Tea. This is a proper heart attack on a plate (be prepared to sleep the morning off).
Option2: Delivered to your swim
Breakfast Baguette filled with Bacon, Sausage & Egg. Orange Juice , Tea or Coffee. By forklift truck, (I didn’t have one but all I could picture was Larry on a fork lift truck bringing them round).
Evening
Saturday. Spaghetti Bolognaise. No wonder there’s a pasta shortage in Italy!
Sunday. Roast Chicken. Roast & Boiled Potatoes. Seasonal Veg & gravy. More like an ostrich with foliage & more than enough boilys for anyone.
Monday. Pork in Mustard Sauce, Potato Wedges & Veg. If only pork tasted this good in England.
Tuesday. Spicy Meatballs in a Tomato Sauce with Tagletelli Pasta..Don’t zip your bivvies up lads, baked beans are tame compared to these, Yummy.
Wednesday. Bangers n Mash & onion gravy. Food of the Gods.
Thursday. Cottage Pie & Vegetables. More like a 3 bed semi with a loft conversion!
Friday. Spicy chicken chips & peas. Move over Colonel Sanders there’s a new bird on the block.
Main meals are followed by dessert of the day or Ice-Cream. All Heather’s desserts are like an angel cried on your tonsils.
