READY FOR 2026 SEASON

NEW SWIMS

We've built 3 double swims - all on one level for easy access and safe fish handling - we have another post with all the details on the swim build 🎣 

Each swim will have:
- Space for your bivvy, rod pod, cradle, and all your gear
- Room for proper casting
- Lighting and wifi

 

IN OUR SWIM IMPROVEMENT PLANS

- Steps down to the water
- Charging sockets

Everything's being designed with two things in mind: practical fishing setup and fish safety.

 

ANGLERS SOCIAL

Seating areas between swims with shelter from rain and sun - perfect for when you want to spend time with your group or have a social without disturbing the fishing.

 

THE ANGLERS CLUBHOUSE

The Anglers Clubhouse (where you eat and use the showers) has been tidied up for 2026 - fresh decoration, cleaner showers, making everything spot-on for your stay.

 

WHAT'S COMING NEXT

UPDATED ACCOMMODATION (2027)

Just in case don't want to bivvy up - we know that's the joy of carping! 

The mobile home is getting a facelift - this will give you a proper base with all some home comforts while staying close to the action. 

This is also be available as non angling guest accommodation  - we know they don't all get the fun of bivvy life 😉 

 

ANGLERS CLUBHOUSE (2027/8)

Looking further ahead, the Anglers Clubhouse will have better showers and kit to bring it right up to date.

 

VIEWING STATION (2027/8)

A proper elevated viewing station so you can get a look at the lake layout, spot fish activity and plan your tactics before you even set up. This is in the longer-term plans once the immediate work is complete.

 

BETTER KIT (ONGOING)

Better storage, better equipment, and making sure everything's properly maintained as we go. This is ongoing work - we're constantly improving.

 

SONAR MAPPING (ANNUAL)

Annual lake bed mapping so you'll have detailed maps of depths, features, and the best spots. Want to find your own? Go for it. Want the inside track? We've got you covered.

 

THE TIMELINE

Some of this happened during winter 2025 (swims, social area, lodge tidy-up). Some is coming over the next couple of years (accommodation, clubhouse, viewing station). But it's all part of the same plan: make Genêts the best it can be for your fishing.
