After all the dredging work this winter, we've removed thousands of tons of silt. A lot of that silt build-up was caused by poor quality bait going into the lake over the years - stuff that doesn't break down properly, affects water quality and ultimately harms the fish.

Quality bait = better water quality = healthier fish = bigger carp = better fishing and more of those PBs!

 

The Carp Health Reason

House bait means our carp are getting proper nutrition all year long, we feed the same boilies through the season and during the winter.

Consistent, quality food helps them grow properly and stay in top condition.

We've all seen it - you turn up with new bait, the carp ignore it all week, then smash it the week after you've left. They're not daft! They need to recognise food and trust it.

With house bait, the carp know it's food from day one. They've been eating it all year. You're fishing effectively from the moment you arrive, not hoping they'll work out your bait by Wednesday.

 

What We're Stocking

We're keeping it simple:

  • House Boilies - 4 flavours and 2 sizes in 3kg bags, 14mm and 20mm (Bloodworm & Garlic, Nutry Peanut, Robin Spice, Pineapple)
  • Matching Hook Baits & Attractors - Pop-ups, wafters, dips, boosts/glugs, and sprays to match all boilie flavours
  • Lake Pellet with attractor - 5kg buckets or 25kg sacks
  • Freshly Prepared Maize - 5kg buckets
  • Freshly Prepared Hemp - 5kg buckets

 

The Tactics Bit

This is where it gets interesting. Because the carp trust the house bait, you can actually fish more effectively:

  • Little and Often: They're not spooked by new food, so regular small amounts work better than massive beds
  • Your Rigs: Simple rigs work because they're not suspicious of the bait
  • Immediate Results: You're not "baiting up" for the next angler - you're catching from day one
